B&B Casa NovecentoSei

About

An ancient home reborn as a bed-and-breakfast in Sonico, in the heart of the Valle Camonica.

Casa NovecentoSei is the perfect B&B for a weekend getaway or a relaxing holiday at any time of the year. It is located on the outskirts of Edolo in the province of Brescia and offers stunning views all year round.

Casa NovecentoSei is the result of the architectural restoration of a 1906 building, from which it takes its name. The building has been fully renovated, preserving the original stone façade (exterior stonework) while refurbishing and modernizing the interior.
The most innovative energy efficiency systems have been adopted to offer sustainable hospitality and tourism, including solar panels, no gas usage, and optimal thermal insulation. The old wooden floor, no longer suitable, has been recovered and transformed into headboards and desks in the rooms, offering a blend of tradition and modernity to provide comfort for our guests.

Every morning in our breakfast room, we serve a rich sweet and savory breakfast to suit all tastes and preferences. Guests can enjoy delicious homemade food made with locally sourced ingredients, such as milk, honey, jams, and cheeses from Valcamonica, to fuel their day of adventures.

Rock Carvings in Valcamonica

The rock art of Valle Camonica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the legacy of the ancient Camuni, who inhabited the area as early as the Paleolithic era. You can admire this extraordinary open-air museum at Coren de le Fate, an engraved rock reachable on foot from the B&B, and at Capo di Ponte, about 20 km from Casa NovecentoSei, home to the Naquane National Park of Rock Engravings, with hundreds of figures carved into stone.

Skiing in Aprica and Ponte di Legno

In winter, skiing in Valcamonica is really close at hand thanks to the proximity of the Aprica ski area in Valtellina and the Ponte di Legno-Tonale ski area, both reachable in a 20-minute drive from Sonico. Skiing, snowboarding, and winter fun for the whole family — and in summer, countless mountain activities surrounded by nature.

Alpine Trekking

Valcamonica, an alpine valley of great natural beauty, offers numerous hiking trails through medium and high mountain landscapes. It is crossed by long-distance routes such as the Cammino di Carlo Magno (Charlemagne Trail) from Bergamo to Carisolo and the Via Valeriana Trail from Brescia to Valtellina. You can also explore the Adamello Park, with its famous Sentiero dei Fiori (Flower Trail) starting from Tonale, visit the giant panoramic benches scattered across the valley, or enjoy scenic horseback rides.

Cycling Paths and Legendary Climbs

Cycling enthusiasts will find endless routes to explore – from gentle rides to legendary climbs. The Ciclovia dell’Oglio, a 280-km cycle route from Passo del Tonale to the River Po, passes right through here. Just a few dozen kilometers away, you can tackle some of the most famous Giro d’Italia climbs: Gavia and Mortirolo. Discover Valcamonica by riding a gravel, mountain, or e-bike.

Lake Iseo

Looking south, Valcamonica is the gateway to Lake Iseo, one of the most fascinating destinations in the province of Brescia. It's an ideal day trip from Sonico, offering charming villages, breathtaking views between lake and mountain landscapes, ferry trips, and the chance to visit Monte Isola, the pearl of Lake Iseo.

Food and wine

Discover the authentic flavours of Valcamonica by visiting local festivals, tasting traditional products, dining at farmhouses, and enjoying local wines. Food lovers will can savour a rich culinary tradition — from local game and mountain cheeses to honey, chestnuts, and of course, the famous casoncelli.
